Bibliography

Table of Contents

1. Overview

Citations on this site are org-cite with the CSL export processor, rendered by citeproc-el at publish time. The convention is per-note: a note declares its own #+bibliography:, #+cite_export: csl and #+print_bibliography:, and its References section prints exactly the works that note cites.

As of 2026-10-29 the corpus is 710 BibTeX entries across 38 files, behind which sit roughly 680 distinct works. 590 distinct citation keys are referenced from the .org tree.

Two things this page is for: finding which note already cites a work before adding it again, and seeing which works carry weight across more than one note.

2. Works cited by more than one note

These are the candidates for consolidation into a shared bibliography — the works where a divergent copy is most likely to cause a contradiction. Counts treat the French mirror under site/fr/ as a separate citing page.

2.1. Agent memory and retrieval

  • packer2023memgpt — MemGPT: Towards LLMs as Operating Systems (2023). Cited by 2026-agent-memory-systems, 2026-history-as-retrieval-context.
  • chhikara2025mem0 — Mem0: Building Production-Ready AI Agents with Scalable Long-Term Memory (2025). Same two notes.
  • rasmussen2025zep — Zep: A Temporal Knowledge Graph Architecture for Agent Memory (2025), arXiv 2501.13956. Same two notes. Author list corrected 2026-10-29.
  • xu2025amem — A-MEM: Agentic Memory for LLM Agents (2025), arXiv 2502.12110. Same two notes. Author list corrected 2026-10-29.
  • rhodes1997remembrance — The Wearable Remembrance Agent (1997), and rhodes2000jitir — Just-In-Time Information Retrieval (2000). The lineage the memory notes argue from.
  • cloudflare2026memory — Agents: Memory (2026), vendor documentation.

2.2. Types, contracts and verification

2.3. Programming languages

3. Works by note

Each note's bibliography, grouped by subject. The entry count is the number of BibTeX records in the file, not the number of works that note cites — a note prints only what it cites.

4. Conventions

  • One bibliography per note, named references.bib beside a directory note's index.org, or references-<slug>.bib beside a flat <slug>.org.
  • A note that cites anything must declare all three of #+bibliography:, #+cite_export: csl and #+print_bibliography:. Omitting #+cite_export: falls back to org's basic processor, which renders an unresolved key as a literal (??) rather than failing — that shipped to production on one note and is the reason the rule is written down here.
  • Protect acronyms and proper nouns in title with braces. Citeproc sentence-cases CSL titles, so an unbraced A-MEM: ... for LLM Agents renders as "A-Mem … for Llm Agents".
  • Internal wal.sh notes are referenced as inline file: links, not as BibTeX entries. There is no self-citation convention on this site, and adopting one for a single note would imply it for every other.
