guile-skills

Three Claude Code skills that give an agent a real Guile REPL to work against, instead of guessing. It starts guile3 --debug --listen on a per-project port, records every evaluation through a logging proxy, and exposes Guile's own debugger – tracing, breakpoints, macro expansion, profiling – over the same socket. Everything stays on 127.0.0.1; nothing is sent anywhere.

Requires Guile 3.x. See docs for the three binary names this probes across FreeBSD, Debian/Ubuntu, and Homebrew.

The three skills

  • guile-repl-server – starts guile3 --debug --listen on a port derived from the working directory, with a transcript-logging proxy on PORT+1.
  • guile-repl-eval – evaluates Scheme against the running interpreter.
  • guile-repl-proxy – the logging layer between a client and the REPL; connecting to the bare PORT instead of PORT+1 works but records nothing.

Security posture

A Guile socket REPL is unauthenticated arbitrary code execution. That is why it binds loopback only and why the skills refuse to bind 0.0.0.0 or tunnel the port.
