CFP

The call closed on 11 October, so there is no proposal draft here. What the call says is still worth keeping, because it describes the program before the program exists.

There are thirteen tracks, and Agentic AI is listed first. Its scope reads like the table of contents of this site's last six months: agent architectures, MCP, Agent Skills, A2A, tool integration, multi-agent systems, AgentOps, AI gateways, identity and security for agents, governance, observability, and agentic workloads on Kubernetes. The other twelve are AI Inference and Infrastructure, Cloud Native Application Development, Cloud Native Experience, Cloud Native Novice, Connectivity, Data Processing + Storage, Emerging + Advanced, Observability, Operations + Performance, Platform Engineering: DevEx & IDPs, Platform Engineering: Infrastructure & Delivery, and Security.

Format Length Speakers Note
Session 30 min 1–2
Panel 30 min 3–5 all names required at submission
Lightning 5 min 1
Poster --- 1–2 digital, shown in the Solutions Showcase; up to ten selected
Tutorial 80 min 1–5

The rules are the usual LF set with one addition that matters this year. A speaker may send at most three proposals and may speak on one panel plus one non-panel slot. A talk given at a Linux Foundation event within the past year is not selected. Slides are due before the event. And the call says, in so many words, "Avoid submitting low-effort, AI-generated proposals": a conference whose lead track is agentic AI asks not to be reviewed by agents' output. That is a fair position, and an awkward one to enforce.

Tracks that fit

Four tracks meet work already on this site. The rest are Kubernetes operations in the ordinary sense and are skipped here.

Agentic AI

The direct overlap. MCP, harnesses, identity and AgentOps were the substance of AGNTCon + MCPCon North America 2026, the Linux Foundation's own agent conference five months earlier; expect a share of the same speakers and projects, and read the San Jose picks as a preview. Sandboxing and who holds the key are argued in Agent Sandbox Architectures. "Agentic workloads on Kubernetes" is the one item in the scope that San Jose did not really cover, and the one most likely to be specific to this audience.

Cloud Native Application Development

The CFP puts "testing and debugging from the developer's side" in this track, next to inner-loop tools and resilience. That is where property-based and deterministic testing would land if anyone submitted it: Bombadil-style property testing of UIs (Bombadil for SPAs) and deterministic simulation of systems that agents now write (Antithesis + AWS, 29 October). Whether the selected talks go past contract tests and chaos tooling is the thing to check on 9 December.

Platform Engineering: Infrastructure & Delivery

CI/CD, GitOps and IaC. The open question from Source Control When Most Writers Are Agents is what GitOps does when most commits to the reconciled repository are agent-authored: whether review, provenance and rollback move into the reconciler or stay at the PR. ArgoCon, FluxCon and OpenTofu Day on the Monday are the places that question would be asked by the people who maintain the reconcilers.

Observability

Agent observability was the theme Grafana sold at ObservabilityCON 2026; here it is split between this track and the observability line in the Agentic AI scope. The cost side, tokens and routing, is sketched in Agent Telemetry Systems. The useful test for any talk is whether it treats an agent run as a trace with tool calls as spans and says what the span attributes are, or stops at a dashboard.

Co-located events

Fifteen CNCF-hosted events, all on Monday 15 March at the same venue, included with the All-Access pass: Agentics Day: MCP + Agents, ArgoCon, BackstageCon, Buildpacks Summit, CiliumCon, Cloud Native AI + Inference Day, FluxCon, KeycloakCon, Kubernetes on Edge Day, NeoCloudCon, Observability Day, Open Sovereign AI + Cloud Day, Open Source SecurityCon, OpenTofu Day, and Platform Engineering Day.

Since they share a day, this is a choice of one. In order of fit: Agentics Day: MCP + Agents for the harness and MCP thread; Observability Day for agent tracing; ArgoCon or FluxCon for GitOps under agent authorship; Open Source SecurityCon if the Agentic AI track's identity sessions turn out thin. KeycloakCon is the outside pick, since agent identity is increasingly an OAuth problem and Keycloak is the CNCF's identity provider.

Open

  • Venue, and whether the main conference runs Tuesday to Thursday as the Monday pre-event framing implies.
  • The schedule, 9 December. Revisit then and replace the track notes above with picks.
  • How the AI-generated-proposal rule was applied, if the program committee says.
